MorphOS 2.7 boot.img Changes

The following is a (probably incomplete) list of changes made between the 2.6 and 2.7 releases of MorphOS to the ROM (boot.img) based components.

Quark and Related Modules

• Fixed PowerPC 7410 support
• Fixes in PowerPC 7450 support
• Experimental PowerPC 7448 support
• Fixed CPU information for CPU cards that do not update the OpenFirmware information (L2 cache size, AltiVec, etc.)
• Fixed not to use NAP on Power Mac systems that do not support it

Intuition

Fixed opaque resizing of MUI windows on non-enhanced screens

Layers

• Fixed a deadlock when switching screens
  
• Fixed a compatibility issue with MUI

MorphOS 2.7 Disk Changes

Following is a (probably incomplete) list of changes made to the disk based components of MorphOS. While not necessarily mentioned for every component translations were updated for most of them. Also various cosmetical fixes were applied here and there.

Ambient

• Increased the maximum string length for bookmarked locations
  
• Too long bookmark strings are now displayed with an ellipsis

Application/Elements

'Look up on Wikipedia' feature now supports linking to localized variants of Wikipedia. Currently enabled for German translation.

C/Installer

• Fixed directory creation bug at several locations.
  
• Fixed various commands to improve compatibility with legacy scripts.
  

C/SetClockNTP

Fixed day saving time, which was switched one hour too late.

A new MUI custom class for user-configurable URI objects.

• Supports all URI schemes supported by the OpenURL system.
  
• Handles additional URI schemes (amigados:, workbench:, etc.)
  
• Includes a wrapper for obsolete legacy class 'Urltext.mcc'.
